Looking for Best Practices for SeisComP Installation and Performance Optimization:?

Hi everyone,

I am setting up SeisComP for the first time and I am looking for advice on best practices to ensure a smooth installation and optimal performance: My goal is to have a reliable earthquake monitoring system but I am a bit overwhelmed by the technical details.

  • Are there specific hardware requirements or recommendations that would make a noticeable difference in processing speed or data accuracy: ??
  • Which modules should I prioritize for essential seismic event processing and are there any optional modules worth exploring for advanced data analysis: ??
  • Any tips for managing storage and memory usage effectively, especially if I plan to handle a high volume of real-time data: ??

I would also love to hear about any challenges you faced during your initial setup and how you overcame them.

Looking forward to your insights !!

Thanks in advance !!

With Regards,
DerekFlutter

The SeisComP documentation [1] contains the recommendations. Follow them step by step for the installation and initial setup and then consider the tutorials [2] on the different subjects. More background reading is available by the concepts section [3].
