New paper on Seiscomp at the Alaska Earthquake Center

Our group has published a new paper describing the real-time earthquake system built by the Alaska Earthquake Center over the past two years. It is based heavily on SeisComP. I describe this as our “starter implementation” as we continue to build out additional capabilities. There are ideas in this paper that we undoubtedly inherited from other networks. I hope we are contributing something back to the community as well. Special shout-out to Bernd Weber who (no surprise) was highly influential in this development.

Anyone on this list is welcome to contact me directly with questions (mewest@alaska.edu). I am fortunate to work with a strong team of people who can address most any inquiry that might arise.
